About Demented Media

Welcome to Demented Media, where we are passionate about creating unique and terrifying films in the horror genre. Founded in 2017 by Freddie Meade and Timothy MacDonald, we are located in Newark, Ohio and are dedicated to bringing back practical effects and storytelling that made horror movies truly terrifying in the past. Long gone are the days when a simple camping trip would stain the soil crimson, lost to morbid films about nineteenth-century barbers and shark-infested tornadoes. It's disheartening for fans of the genre to see how whimsical the world has become.

Our Passion

At Demented Media, we handle every aspect of film production, from writing and directing to editing and distribution. We are not those bigwigs sitting in the glass cathedrals and green-lighting the next redundant remake or the 13th sequel to a franchise that should have died before being given to the era of CGI. We do not want to be a statistic in that field. All of our projects will be completed with passionate cast and crew who are not simply taking the role for a hefty payday. We want to show that horror can be again what it once was.

Our Vision

We aim to become a prominent name in the world of independent horror filmmaking. With a focus on practical effects and compelling storytelling, we strive to challenge the norms of modern horror and deliver truly captivating cinematic experiences. No more money wasted for expensive effects that look too animated for the genre. We want to be to horror today what Tobe Hooper was to horror in the 1960's and 70's.
